The Treetop Adventure Leader manages the day-to-day functions of the Treetop Adventure program, including hiring, training and supervision of all staff members of the program. Develops and holds accountable all safety measures pertaining to guests and staff members and insures 100 percent compliance with all stated regulations. Focuses daily on guest service to insure the highest possible level of guest satisfaction occurs. Develop standard procedures for processes such as checking guests in, billing, equipment management, safety features, and resolving of guest complaints.
Works closely with Callaway Gardens' marketing department to promote activities and special events, both internally and externally. College degree and at least two years of experience in recreation preferred .Experience in resort or related field helpful. Must have a valid driver's license from appropriate state. Long hours sometimes required. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 75 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects .Ability to stand for long hours at a time.
Be able to positively motivate and lead a team, conveying information and ideas clearly and effectively so that ownership of high levels of guest service is understood to be the role of each individual team member. Be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately. Be able to work well in high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity, including the ability to listen carefully to and resolve guest issues to the satisfaction of the affected guests. Be able to identify potential guest issues and then develop methodologies to prevent or limit the impact of those guest issues during the course of guest visits. Be able to assimilate complex information and data for various sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need. Be able to effectively listen to, understand, and clarify concerns and issues raised by team members and guests. Be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and perform basic math functions.
Follow the operational service philosophy of Callaway Cares at all times .Interact with all guests and all team members, at all times, in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Callaway standards, as required by scheduling that will vary according to the needs of Callaway Gardens' business levels. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming to include wearing the proper department uniform and a nametag when working.Comply at all times with Callaway standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
Develop inventory of all equipment needed for operation of program and monitors inventory regularly. Insure that all equipment is maintained according to safety standards and that equipment is not dirty or worn. Develop a team approach to guest service that enables several different team members to work simultaneously on different specific tasks that merge together to provide the best guest service possible.
Correctly charge guests based on stated rates and special programs; insure that all monies and charges are accounted for under the standards and policies set by the Callaway Gardens Accounting Office. Work with Human Resources to follow stated procedures to select the best qualified candidates to serve as team members for the Treetop Adventure If team member performance is negligent, immediately work closely with Human Resources to insure that corrective action steps are taken. Maintain all areas around the Treetop adventure to established cleanliness and appearance standards, including the outside areas and all office areas.
Work closely with Bike Barn team members and is cross-trained in that operation. Insure that all team members dress in proper uniform and adhere to appearance policy. Has knowledge and understanding of all department policies and procedures, and communicate and enforce all policies fairly and consistently with staff. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management. Attend all meetings/training as required by supervisor or manager.0
