The Superintendent position as defined by the company entails the supervision and coordination necessary to unite all subcontractors, vendors, and â€œinâ€house personnelâ€ in a safe manner, ensuring completion of a quality projects within the allowed budget and scheduled timeframe. The ideal candidate will utilize personal skills, construction expertise, and a diligent work ethic to complete projects on time, within budget and per ICS quality standards. The Superintendent will be responsible for a continued demonstration of appropriate skills and functions required for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Have a thorough understanding of all applicable building codes and their relation to a given project, as well as, understanding the building inspection process and having the responsibility to familiarize the projectâ€™s â€œteamâ€ with the requirements of the authorities within the projectâ€™s local jurisdiction.Have a thorough understanding of all Owner and Subcontractor contracts.Maintain consistent and professional correspondence, both verbally and by way of email, with all client representatives, designers, subcontractors, vendors, coâ€workers, etc.Ensure a projectâ€™s schedule is initiated and distributed to the Owner, Subcontractors, etc. Maintain and distribute revised schedules to all applicable parties throughout the projectâ€™s duration.Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and adheres to construction schedules.Thoroughly document a projectâ€™s daily activities on the Daily Log form and submit to the P.M. Log all project time and material activities accurately onto a Time and Material Log, and submit to ensure proper billing.Finish a given project by ensuring all punch list items are completed in the contracted time allowed.Practice and enforce safety upon your subordinates, on the jobsite and throughout the duration of a given project.
QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 5-years experience is required.Experience in commercial construction is required.General carpentry skills are required.Excellent knowledge of Outlook email and similar mobile device apps are required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently working in occupied commercial building (nonâ€weather); work near moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The employee must occasionally work from a ladder or scaffold and/or with power tools.
