The Sr Principle Pricing and Profitability Manager is responsible for the strategic direction, development & management of the corporate pricing process of enterprise and commercial customer-negotiated contracts, including pricing guidelines, bid and quote management with the goal of retaining and winning new business profitably.
This position directs all aspects of Customer Acquisition and retention, and directly manages Pricing Managers and has broad decision-making authority within policy guidelines.
The position is responsible for the assisting in the management of customer acquisition and retention as it relates to pricing and bid profitability.
This position leads the pricing strategy and tactics for inbound bids and the final review of profitability and return on sales (ROS). This position also maintains competitive cost and cross-reference databases.
This position may also be responsible for pricing audits for all of the contractual obligations Pricing and bid operation policies set by this position directly determine Office Depot margins and profitability. The policies set by this position determine the Pro-Forma payment terms used by the sales team when negotiating contracts
This position has a direct impact on the optimization of Office Depot new business acquisition strategies and will determine through analysis and field/market input whether Office Depot is using the appropriate cost basis for determining pricing strategies.
Responsible for a $2 million payroll budget and for developing successful pricing strategies to support a $4 billion annual sales portfolio.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years' in pricing, merchandising, accounting, bids, or financial management with 2 - 3 years' experience in managing teams that support internal or external customers.Other Information:

Understanding of contract terms, cost of delivery, rebates, and all other variable costs that may impact the overall contract pricing
