- POSITION SUMMARY:
Technical leadership role for all Valve new product development and sustaining engineering support for the US market. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee all NPD development and existing product design changes Determines design criteria in accordance with applicable standards and codes Reviews and checks engineering drawings, computations, estimates and reports for completeness, accuracy, and soundness of applied engineering principles and governing standards and policies Provides guidance and work supervision for other technical personnel Responsible for preparing any number and variety of documents for review by various product listing agencies in accordance with industry standards Assists in the preparation of periodic departmental performance reports Generates test plans to specify the testing required by the Engineering Lab Manager Coordinates and performs testing to evaluate new designs and assists the Engineering Lab Manager when needed Assists Operations to troubleshoot manufacturing issues Collaborate with an international design engineering team on product development REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education
: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, minimum Experience
: 10+ years of related engineering experience in the pressure reducing valve design or control valve design Requirements: Skills and Abilities:
Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk AutoCAD & Inventor. Competencies
: Need to possess strong interpersonal, ability to communicate effectively, maintain confidential information, exercise sound judgment, make accurate and timely decisions, the ability to multi-task and work with teams in a fast paced environment, and have strong analytical and problem solving skills. Other Qualifications:
Preferred, but not required: Affiliations with ASME/CSA/IAPMO/ISO experience; Knowledge of plumbing systems, valve function, design (strength of materials, hydraulics, etc.); SAP Experience. WORKING CONDITIONS: This position will be in an office and manufacturing environment. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to travel internationally is a must, typically no more than 7-10 days a month. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
